The point of torture at its core, beyond interrogation and all of that, is to prolong suffering, isn't it? Meaning you'd have more time than if someone wanted to kill someone quickly, at the very least. Beyond that, it depends on what the torturing party wants, and how well the person being tortured can resist it.

That's not what I mean. I'm talking about those people who are too far gone, The people who would torture someone to death in the name of their god there's no rescue left for people like that Made into monsters through and through.
Ah. Well, that entirely depends on the person, I suppose. Who were they to begin with? What might bring them back?
I did a lot of things I wouldn't normally do back then. And the whole time afterwards, I couldn't help but wonder if they'd really got to me, if it was just me all along, if there wasn't any actual influence at all.
I think there's bound to be a way back if you can isolate them.
If it's not something they'd normally do, there's most likely a chance. Otherwise? Chances are you weren't going to get any results anyway and you shouldn't bother.
Which probably sounds harsh, but sometimes you have to be.
Ah, a secret project. Sounds exciting. Always best to keep things as classified as you can. Who knows who'd try to do something with the intel if they found it.
