[As anyone who knows Marco may have been able to guess, he has not been taking this well.
In the first day without news, he was worried enough. In the second day, he was devastated, forced to face a very real possibility that he has been trying to ignore for a long time now: monsters disappear at random, at any given time, and one day, that could just happen to Fiddleford. The timing didn't help matters, of course, but in the end, it wasn't even the most important part; if Fiddleford disappeared, Marco would be heartbroken no matter whether it happened on his husband's birthday or on Valentines Day or on any other random date.
But he's been trying to keep it together - even if, in this instance, keeping it together entailed sitting around at home instead of running around on a hopeless chase - and now, well... his efforts have been rewarded, so to speak. Fiddleford is barely done slithering in when Marco throws his arms around him, pulling him into a tight hug.]
Honey, I'm so glad you're okay! [The tension leaving him is palpable - the hands he places on Fiddleford's shoulders are shaking, and his shoulders slump as he sighs.] What in the world was happening for traffic to be that bad?
here we fuckin go
