terribibble: (he has no will of his own)

[Pretty much immediately after his talk with Elias, Fiddleford goes upstairs to find his husband. He's, uh. He's having kind of a moment. He was already fragile after what happened at Erikson's party last month dredged up some real bad memories and this on top of that has put him well and truly in A Bad Place. His hands are clenched very tightly at his sides because if they weren't he'd be reaching up to try and pull at his thick boar's mane of hair. He was doing so good and now he feels like he's lost all that ground and he's standing on nothing.

He just needs to see Marco. To know that he's still there. To reassure himself, as best he can, that Marco isn't just counting down the seconds until he can leave. None of that's real. That's just his mind doing that thing it always does when he's scared, where it finds problems that aren't there because surely there must be problems or he wouldn't be so scared! It's fine. It's fine.]

Honey? I, ah. Can I talk to you? [He does not wait for a response. He's really in it.] Just, y'know, hypothetical question -- if -- if Elias said you could leave, right now. Leave Ryslig, go back to normal. But I couldn't come with you. Would you go?

[You know. Just asking for no reason in particular. Fun thought exercise. Real casual.]
