While I prefer to work alone, borrowing the expertise of someone who has more knowledge about the situation in general would probably be more efficient.

And where do you think you'll be able to draw power from?

Of course. It's the obvious choice.
But here's the deal: we improve what's already there, for the first phase. You don't necessarily need to add power when you can better utilize what's already on the table. What we need to do is build something that serves as an improvement, something that can take what's already there to work with and better amplify it. Enhancement.
Of course ultimately we'd want to slurp some more up like a particularly interesting soup, but before we get there, we have to start here. I was working on similar technology before I ended up here, so I know what I'm doing.
