Yes. [Jason's face takes on a harshness to match Marco's.] I'd hate to see anything happen to you, and that's why I wanted to see you in the flesh and see for myself if you're as crack-brained as everyone's saying.
But since you're here and talking about justified murders, I may as well tell you -- I don't worry myself with what my coworkers believe or what gods they get tied up in, but I don't care if they're delivering homemade Christmas cakes to the Fog God, you don't touch them.

Alright. So. How about all the details you can't tell a crowd of humans, hm?
I don't know what details, I'm not the one with the intel, that's why I'm asking you.
Hell if I know what tactics the fog god uses instead.

Oh? So the fourth doesn't? How fascinating. Can't say I was ever a fan of that method myself. Too many unpleasant mental scars and all.
And you've got ways to stop this?

Just because someone seems too far gone doesn't necessarily mean they are. Not that I'm known for being Mister Optimism, but. Let's just say I had a good run with the wrong crowd for a while.
[As if anyone he's hung out with could be considered the right crowd, but...]
And if you're already good at dealing with it on your own?

Maybe. If you say so.
Well, I was on a mission in the Middle East back in the early nineties, and someone tipped off the enemy. I was captured, tortured, and I suppose eventually I gave up.
Not my proudest moment.
[He's never really minded talking about it too much. Or at least that's how he liked to think.]

Don't worry about it. It's been a while, and I'm not about to go pretending that things didn't happen for the sake of not having bad memories.
Anyway, clearly I got better.

Time, mainly. And a daring rescue, I suppose, but after that, I just sort of spent some time recovering. It seems to have done the trick.
The point of torture at its core, beyond interrogation and all of that, is to prolong suffering, isn't it? Meaning you'd have more time than if someone wanted to kill someone quickly, at the very least. Beyond that, it depends on what the torturing party wants, and how well the person being tortured can resist it.
I'm well-trained in resistance, but everyone's got their breaking point.
