Before he can say anything, Rohan is already drawing his attention to the book. More familiar faces. Faces that, if this is to be believed, Rohan cares for very much.

Marco wants to believe. His natural inclination is to believe. But a familiar voice nearby, the one that doesn't really belong to the Fourth God but insists on pretending it does, warns him against it. "He's deceiving you," it says. "Don't fall for it."

It's distracting enough that, if you were to judge the first thing Marco says, you might think he wasn't listening at all.]
